Bob Pollet

After completing his medical studies in Leuven, Dr Bob Pollet began his career in South Africa, where he worked in a secondary hospital from July 1998 to November 2003. During this period, he focused primarily on anterior segment surgery. He performed a large number of cataract procedures, including both extracapsular cataract extraction and phacoemulsification. In addition, he treated pterygium cases, managed glaucoma patients through trabeculectomy procedures, and carried out various ocular trauma surgeries.

Since December 2003, Dr Bob Pollet has been practising as an ophthalmologist in Ostend. His daily clinical work mainly consists of comprehensive ophthalmic consultations and cataract surgery.

For more than ten years, he has also been affiliated with a practice in Harelbeke. While he initially held weekly consultations there, he currently works there one day per month, with plans to further expand his activity in the future.

In addition, he works two half-days per week at Dr Brandt’s practice in Jabbeke.

Within the hospital, Dr Bob Pollet is responsible for administering intravitreal injection treatments on Monday mornings.
